my mid-term portfolio

# 1) Cedar glen movie

The cedar glen movie was the first major assignment I was given in media class and one of the first assignments at the YMCA Academy. I photoshoped several of the images that I chose to include in my movie, I put them into Movie Maker then I included and aligned the music. This project went fairly well even though this was my first time useing photoshop. I would give myself a level 3 because I could have photoshoped the pictures in a better fashion.

# 2) Audacity

The audacity assignment was about manufacturing our own sound files. In the past I have recorded my own voice and the voices of others on tape, however the audacity software was beyond my previous voice recording skills I had to not only record my voice but I had to delete cut and paste the different segments of my voice to form a full sentance. This was a fun project and I did a good job with it so I would grade myself at a level 4.

# 3) Peace Project

I was away the first three days of the peace project so I did not complete as many pictures as the other students. For this exercise we were required to alter pictures using photshop and convert them to jpegs. My skills in photoshop were enhanced due to this assignment and my pictures turned out well so I would give myself a level 4.

nathan's cedar glen movie

I think I did a good job with this project. I met the requirements of the project so I beleive I did a good job. I also learned new skills. the only thing I should have done differently is I think I could have done a better job in Photoshop with some of my images the reason why I had troubles with certain aspects with Photoshop was because I am a little bit rusty with it I havent used this particular program since I took a photography class almost two years ago. I did learn alot in Moviemaker and I think I used it well considering the fact that it was my first moviemaker project. I also somewhat enjoyed this exercise because I learned new skills.
